Lira live at Kirstenbosch

Lira's 2011 concert in the picturesque world-renowned gardens of Kirstenbosch was a great day and the weather played its part. This year's concert was better attended than last year's, having a packed house with the crowd reaching well into the thousands. The seating went right up to the top of the hill and there were even people standing on the sides, just to get a glimpse of this one-of-a-kind performer.

The evening started off well; as Lira approached the stage, the crowd showered her with applause. Lira wowed them with her impressive vocals and everyone was in awe of both her vocal talent and the music. The band were as hot as they ever were, as they were jamming it out and grooving and complementing Lira instrumentally.

Special guest appearance

Crazy White Boy, whom everyone has come to love, came out and performed his hit single and the audience immediately jumped up onto their feet and started dancing. Lira also showed the crowd some of her moves.

The audience were also spoilt by a special guest appearance by one of South Africa's top artists, Loyiso Bala. He was indeed a great surprise.

But the evening was a truly great success with Lira giving the crowd full value for their money. She sang her heart out and there was considerable emotion and feeling sent out through her vocals. It was an event not to be missed.
