Hammerl's location still unknown, SA government denies confirming he's alive
NEWSWATCH: According to various news articles, no-one seems to know where missing South African photographer Anton Hammerl is, neither the Libyan government nor the South African government, which now also denies a previous media report in which international relations and co-operation minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane was quoted as having proof of his being alive.
A meeting between a delegation of editors and the minister was cancelled yesterday morning, Wednesday, 18 May 2011, because of the local general elections. The meeting is now set for tomorrow, according to a tweet from Yusuf Abramjee, Primedia Broadcasting head of news and current affairs and National Press Club chairperson.
In support of the "Tie a yellow ribbon" campaign for Hammerl, Bizcommunity.com has done so around our logo on the portals and in our newsletters.
