TFG brings Singles' Day to SA
TFG (The Foschini Group) is bringing Singles' Day to South Africa for the first time today, 11 November 2016. The date, 11/11, is significant because the number '1' symbolises the single individual celebrating his or her independence with other singles.
The group is offering free standard delivery and no minimum spend required on purchases at its 11 online stores on Singles’ Day. The first 500 people to shop will receive a R150 TFG eGift card to spend on their next purchase, and shoppers also stand the chance of winning a pamper session valued at R5,000.
The mega shopper day originated in China to honour those who love being single, with Singles’ Day 2015 seeing Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba achieve sales revenue of $14.3bn in just 24 hours.
