Sports Illustrated model winner announced

The New Model Search Competition started in February, 2010 and more than 1100 entrants were whittled down to 15 finalists via huge support from South African fans who cast over 5 million votes. Now the public has spoken again as to who they want to see in the Swimwear Edition and voted in their favourite newcomer as this year's New Model Search winner: 20

Tarryn Kim plans to study business and further her drama training of seven years, if she has enough spare time when not modelling. After winning this competition, she might have to put her ultimate goal of studying her MBA part-time on hold for a while.

Tarryn will now take part in a trip to Mauritius to be photographed by an international photographer for the annual Sports Illustrated Swimwear shoot, appearing alongside more established local and international modelling stars.
