A feast for readers and collectors at Sunday book sale
The bumper book sale hosted by the Friends of the Johannesburg Public Libraries, will take place at Marks Park in Emmarentia on Sunday 15 September between 9am - 5pm.
Book lovers can expect second-hand books at bargain prices ranging from fiction and non-fiction titles to books on art, collectable editions, children's books, an Afrikaans selection and even sheet music.

Readers coming together
Previous book sales held by the Friends of the Johannesburg Public Libraries have always been successful and have attracted large numbers of people, said Zara Natali, Chairperson of the group.
"There has always been a wonderful vibe at the book sale with book lovers coming together from all over, finding long sought-after treasures, exchanging ideas and generally enjoying the day."
She added that the proceeds from the sale would go towards helping all of the public libraries falling under the ambit of the City of Johannesburg.
Impact development
City of Johannesburg Library and Information Services Deputy Director Atilla Lourens, who works with reading development programmes, says that the assistance of the Friends of the Library to increase the impact of reading development and information literacy programmes within the city is important and is very much appreciated.
There is secure parking available and in between book shopping, visitors can relax and enjoy refreshments at the clubhouse.
Credit cards will be accepted.
