Loot.co.za appoints new CEO
According to Hadfield, the move comes at a time when he is ready for a new challenge and when the online retailer is positioning itself for further growth and expansion.
"Since its inception in 2003, Loot has recorded significant year-on-year growth and the company is well positioned in the online retail space. I look forward to working with the team to take it to the next level," Hadfield said.
Michael van Rooyen, founder of Loot.co.za, will continue to play an active role as MD and added that the company will benefit from Hadfield's retail and management skills, combined with his extensive IT and engineering skills. "A number of local retailers continue to increase their investments in the online arena and we expect to see some major changes in this landscape in the next 12 months. He is a pioneer in the local e-commerce realm and his experience, knowledge and insights are what we need to take the company to the next level," added van Rooyen.
