Weekly auto magazine launches in March
Action Publications will launch its new AutoWeek in a weekly format from mid-March 2012. It will offer a blend of local motoring and a broad selection of latest content from British weeklies, Autocar and Autosport.
"We have long considered the obvious gap for a dedicated weekly motoring magazine in South Africa," explains Action Publications CEO, Michele Lupini. "But to do that with a blend of local and international editorial more than gives this effort the legs we need to make it a hit from the start."
Over 100 years old, Autocar is a leading weekly motoring magazine, while Autosport, which was awarded the title of best F1 magazine by the FIA in 2011, is recognised as a leader in motorsport media.
The weekly joins monthly magazines Cars in Action and Bakkie & Truck.
