The 2010 EXSA Annual Awards

The Exhibition and Event Association of Southern Africa (EXSA) hosted their annual awards dinner on Thursday, 18 November 2010 at the Emperor's Palace. With this year marking their 30th anniversary, EXSA introduced their "Hall of Fame".

The "Hall of Fame" was created to recognise the industry loyalists and members who have been instrumental to the exhibition industry in South Africa and the Association. As the inaugural year, the EXSA acknowledged 17 members of the industry, and will continue to recognise those influential industry individuals annually.

Complete Exhibitions, which has been operating since 1993, took home no fewer than five awards, as voted by their colleagues, for the:

  • Best Exhibition held alongside a Conference (for the second consecutive year) - The TB Conference 2010;
  • Best Organiser Employee - Dean Gunningham;
  • Best Organiser - Complete Exhibitions;
  • EXSA Personality of the Year - Nigel Walker;
  • The Memorable Chairman's Awards - Nigel Walker together with Anita Mathias.

Nigel Walker, director of Complete Exhibitions says "Being part of an industry in South Africa, which is rightly world-class is something to be proud of, but to be revered by our Peers within such an accomplished industry is truly an honour. I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate our fellow EXSA members and industry colleagues on their achievements. All very well deserved."
