About the author

Adéle van der Merwe is a registered dietitian who has worked at the Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital for several years. It is at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital where she gained invaluable experience working in the different areas of oncology. She was prompted to write the book to educate the public regarding cancer and nutrition, since not everybody has access to a dietitian if and when cancer is diagnosed. She currently acts as consulting dietitian.
