Canal Walk gets MWeb concept store
On Monday 2 August 2010, MWeb opened a concept store in Canal Walk shopping centre in Cape Town's Century City, the second of such stores and the first in the Western Cape. The company will launch similar stores in the rest of South Africa over the next few years beginning with its third store in Centurion later this year.
Says Carolyn Holgate, GM of MWeb Connect, "We're making the Internet 'real' for customers and giving them an opportunity to interact with the brand. Some customers may feel overwhelmed when faced with the Internet and technology options available and the stores give customers an opportunity to ask advice and try out different offerings before making a purchasing decision."
She adds that more technologically perceptive customers can experience the latest in online technology and products in-store.
