Cashbuild reports second-quarter revenue up 13%

Cashbuild (CSB) increased revenue 13% in the second quarter ended December 2014 from the second quarter in the year-earlier period‚ the retailer of building materials said in an quarterly operational update on Wednesday, 21 January 2015.

Cashbuild is currently in the process of finalising its results for the half-year ended December 2014.

Trading conditions remained tough throughout the quarter although the gross profit percentage margins continued at similar levels reported for the prior financial year‚ the company said.

At 4.46pm‚ the counter traded almost 9% higher at R183 from a close of R168 on Tuesday‚ valuing the company at about R4.5bn.
