Competition encourages conservation education

Kellogg's Coco Pops will be sending ten lucky children to the Makalali Private Game Reserve for their very own mini Game Ranger course with the new “Be a Game Ranger” competition.
Competition encourages conservation education

The winners will go on a wildlife safari to learn all about conservation and how to survive in the wild, and will be shown how to track animals by their footprints. Ninety other children will also win a fun Game Ranger Day with Coco the Monkey's Game Ranger Academy. They'll get a chance to go wildlife viewing and learn all about our natural heritage and how to protect it.

Kellogg's Coco Pops' brand manager, Leanne Martin, said, “We want to show children that they can be heroes and help save our threatened animal species and environment. Teaching them how to be Game Rangers is a fun way to raise their awareness about conservation and transfer useful skills about preserving our planet.”

The competition will also raise money for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The brand has already donated R40,000 to the WWF 'Be the Hero' campaign; and a further 50c from each SMS entry to the competition will also be donated the campaign, which gives South Africans the tools they need to go green and protect the natural habitat our wild animals need to survive.
