Food and beverage sales rise 6.2%
The main contributors were takeaway and fast-food outlets (17.3% and 5.0 percentage points) followed by restaurants and coffee shops (1.8% and contributing 1.1 percentage points).
The total income generated for the three months ended December 2011 rose by 4.7% compared with the previous corresponding period. The main contributor to this increase was takeaway and fast-food outlets (14.2% and contributing 4.0 percentage points) followed by restaurants and coffee shops at 1.3% and contributing 0.7 percentage points.
