think bursaries on offer
Three bursaries, each in the amount of R5 000, will be awarded to successful applicants and funds will be paid directly to the institutions at which these students will be studying.
The monies may be applied, at the discretion of the institution head, towards tuition, materials, or whatever expenses will best assist in supporting the student's design studies for 2006.
Applicants are required to demonstrate financial need as well as the potential for achievement in their chosen field of study. It is important that the student demonstrates strong creativity, an advanced level of conceptual thinking and the ability to cope with the demands of tertiary education.
Application forms can be downloaded from the think website on www.think.org.za. Students are also required to submit a portfolio of work or motivation to demonstrate the above requirements.
The relevant forms, together with the required supporting material, must reach the think offices by no later than 30 November 2005. Please post your applications to South African Graphic Design Council, PO Box 1887, Fourways Gardens, 2068.
