Internal energy savings programme gets Sparky
Woolworths recently briefed Bester Burke Slinger's through-the-line agency, tbsp///beyond the line, to develop a fun and interactive internal campaign to educate staff on how to save energy in stores and at home, as part of its ongoing commitment to the environment, including an energy-saving light bulb mascot.

The mascot, Sparky, started out as just a print illustration but the client decided that the campaign would be more dynamic if he was a life-size character visiting stores countrywide and interacting with employees about energy-saving opportunities. In-store posters monitoring each Woolworths store's monthly energy saving performance, as well as inserts in the employee magazine, Shop Talk, support Sparky's appearances.
