Nike Women's campaign features Whispering Window

A new technology is changing the way retailers communicate with potential customers and successfully pulling additional feet into stores.On the international market for less than two years, the Whispering Window has now attracted global sports company Nike.

Nike UK first commissioned the installation of the Whispering Window technology at its JD Sports stores in London and Newcastle to enhance its latest women's campaign and found it had an immediate impact on foot traffic in the stores, as passers-by stopped to locate the music.

Nike retail partners in Poland, Czech Republic, Turkey, Austria and South Africa have also made use of the new medium.

In South Africa, five Nike Concept Stores had their windows transformed into Whispering Windows - the Concept Stores at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, Gateway Shopping Centre in Durban, Menlyn Park Shopping Centre in Pretoria, Sandton City in Johannesburg and at the Glen Shopping Centre south of Johannesburg.

The Whispering Window sound drivers are completely discreet and integrate into the structure of the window they are sounding. An amplifier ensures that the sound generated by the surface remains at a fixed level above either internal or external ambient noise. This enables the delivery of a constant volume irrespective of the background noise.
