If so, our fast-paced brand and advertising agency is looking for you; a passionate, client-centric account manager with proven experience in creating and building strong client relationships that translate into great business.

This is an in-office Cape Town-based, mid-level position reporting to a client service manager.

The role requires a self-driven critical thinker, with the ability to work under tight deadlines; exceptional customer service skills; a high level of attention to detail; proven planning and project management and administration skills; effective multi-tasking skills; great inter-personal skills and excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Key deliverables include but are not limited to:
  • Day-to-day client liaison
  • Build, maintain and grow client relationships
  • Lead and manage multiple client projects
  • Schedule and attend client meetings 
  • Take clear briefs from clients, compile comprehensive briefs for internal departments, schedule and lead debriefing sessions with the internal post projects
  • Proactively manage clients’ expectations and deadlines
  • Adhere to and maintain clients' messaging and tone. Ensure clients' objectives are effectively executed across all messaging
  • Collaborate with third party suppliers/service providers to ensure shared client project objectives are met.  Successfully collaborate and communicate with internal and external teams to ensure work is on brief and on brand
  • Understand and remain up to date in terms of clients’ businesses, their industries, their competitors etc. Effectively share this understanding with the Power of 9 team
Requirements
  • Five years recent client account management experience in a brand and advertising agency environment
  • Proven ability to multitask and effectively deliver for multiple client projects, across different industries, within tight deadlines
  • A solid understanding of the value and have a keen interest in digital marketing, digital marketing strategies and implementation
  • Understand different forms of media & communication channels, including social, digital, CRM, search and print POS, OOH 
  • Actively follow media trends and best practices for all relevant platforms and media outlets
  • Ability to work across different platforms and software every day to ensure key deliverables are met
  • Agile and able to work at a fast pace for long periods of time - energetic and self-motivated
  • Takes initiative, is self-driven
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A keen willingness and ability to learn quickly
  • Experience working on Business Management Software, e.g. Magnetic, is an advantage
