A major client in the West Rand of Gauteng is looking for a Microsoft server administrator.

As a Microsoft Server Administrator, you will play a critical role maintaining Windows server infrastructure.
Your skillset will ensure the stability, security, and optimal performance of the server environment.

Key competencies:
Knowledge:

• Microsoft Server: Practical Windows Server knowledge is essential. Candidates with MSCE (Legacy Advantage) or Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate certification will have an advantage.
• Networking: Basic networking skills are required.
• Endpoint Management: Familiarity with SCCM and Endpoint Central is an advantage.

Skills:

• Practical Windows Server Knowledge
• Basic Networking Skills

• Problem solving: Ability to identify and solve issues independently.

Responsibilities:

Windows server infrastructure

• Implement and support Windows server infrastructure components, including:

1. Active Directory
2. DNS
3. Certificate Services
4. AD FS (Active Directory Federation Services)

• Install and configure Windows servers,
• Troubleshoot Windows Servers issues.

Security and compliance:

• Adhere to a planned program for virus updates, patch management, and service packs.
• Maintain established company security standards.
• Be an owner of the AD (Active Directory).

Virtualisation and hardware:

• Support the Windows Server and Virtualization Infrastructure.

Communication and collaboration:

• Effectively communicate with team members, management and network team.
