Oracle PL/SQL API Developer

Our client requires an Oracle PL/SQL API developer with solid Oracle, PL/SQL, and API experience to join the expanding team. We are looking to develop and implement efficient systems according to provided specifications, standards, and procedures, using various tools and languages, while following the organisation's architectural guidelines to ensure optimal performance and quality.

Requirements:

• Tertiary education, preferably BComm (information systems) or BSc (computer science), would be an advantage
• Applicable Oracle courses would be an advantage
• Must have a minimum of five years of Oracle PL/SQL experience
• Minimum of two years of API integration experience
• Systems analysis experience
• Must have at least five years of systems development experience
• Must have over five years of product-specific (Oracle) experience
• XML experience would be advantageous
• Object-oriented programming experience would be advantageous
• Experience within the financial industry would be beneficial
• Five years of experience in a Compass environment is beneficial but not essential

Key responsibilities:

• Translate business requirements into technical designs, adhering to standards and guidelines while considering performance, security, and scalability
• Deliver within agreed timeframes
• Participate in defining and refining architectural frameworks and software engineering practices
• Liaise with relevant parties to clarify business requirements or resolve technical issues
• Research and find effective solutions to technical challenges
• Estimate development timelines based on business requirements
