We are looking for a talented and motivated junior web developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about web development, eager to learn, and has a strong foundation in WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborate with experienced developers, and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced agency environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of WordPress websites, including theme and plugin customisation.
• Work on custom web design projects, ensuring responsive and visually appealing layouts.
• Support the development of custom web applications using modern front-end and back-end technologies.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across different browsers and devices.
• Optimise website performance, security, and user experience.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Advanced understanding of WordPress (theme and plugin customisation).
• Basic understanding of PHP.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Basic understanding of website performance optimisation and SEO principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.

Bonus skills (not required, but a plus)

• Experience with PHP and WordPress theme/plugin development.
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.js.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Experience with custom web or app development.
• Understanding of UI/UX principles.
