Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated general vehicle sales manager to oversee our new and preowned vehicle sales operations in Sandton, Johannesburg.

The ideal candidate will have extensive managerial experience, a strong background in automotive sales, and a proven ability to lead and inspire a sales team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the vehicle sales team, encompassing both new and preowned sales departments.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies and marketing initiatives to achieve sales targets.
• Oversee inventory management, ensuring an optimal mix of new and preowned vehicles.
• Foster strong relationships with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
• Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to sales staff to enhance performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
• Analyse sales data and generate reports to track performance and make data-driven decisions.

Requirements:

• Extensive managerial experience in the automotive sales industry.
• Proven track record in both new and pre-owned vehicle sales.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Valid driver's license 
• Clear driving record
