×Show profile Hide profileThe KwaDukuza Resource Centre is a non-profit organisation with PBO status that focuses on education. The centre was founded by Sappi Southern Africa on 2 June 2000. Since inception the centre has recorded over 21 600 members and 10 650 day passes. Over 22 300 people have achieved computer literacy through the centre. The centre has a digital village with 35 computers with internet, MS Office and connected to a central printer for our members to utilise free of charge. The scholars on our MSTprogrammes have achieved 100% pass rate and an average of 77% bachelor pass rate. The centre also provides teacher training and teaching aids and resources are loaned out to the schools. Our career centre provides resources and material on tertiary institutions, bursaries and financial aid. Our career counsellor tests the aptitude of scholars to assist with subject and career choices. We include HIV/Aids awareness, computer literacy and career guidance in all our programme. The centre works closely with numerous rural schools surrounding KwaDukuza and relies on funding to implement our programmes.
