I have a degree in Bachelor of Arts as well as a Cambridge Esol Level 5 Certificate / Celta : certificate in Eng Language Teaching to adults (teaching English to Speakers of other languages)
I have over 10 years of experience / my employment background covers a multidisciplinary range of functions which entail general office administration, reception, telephonic enquiries general office administration, collation of documentation, diary management; receiving and processing of orders and payments, co-ordinating of venue bookings, equipment, travel arrangements, account queries and follow ups client liaison, drafting and typing of correspondence as well as reporting to clients, minuting, typing updating status / progress reports, and the planning and co-ordination of such scheduled tasks.
My exposure to the corporate world to date includes work done for a small development consultancy where I worked as a fundraising administrator. I also assisted in the advertising department of a publication title. I feel that these are the tip of the iceberg and would like to expand my experience in the corporate environment.
I am currently researching PR and Marketing and Writing / editorial courses which would equip me with the hone my writing ability and equip myself with specialization skills. I plan to enroll soon with an institution
I have covered a wide range of communication related modules within my BA qualification which include Communication Planning & Management, Marketing Communication, Media Studies, Persuasive texts as well as Writing Skills for the Communications Industry and would value an enriching opportunity to complement my studies in media.
I have a good command of the English language (both written & verbal). I enjoy working with words in terms of analysing and consolidating content, editing and formatting information. I feel I would be able to make a worthwhile contribution in these areas and would particularly like to expand my experience in the editorial environment
