I then decided to move into a Business Development Role. This I found to be far more enjoyable and started build relationships that with clients that mattered. Moving from the Financial Industry to Financial Recruitment Industry and then back to the Financial Industry. To then find the industry I now call home. Publishing.
Having started as a Business Development Executive with a B2B publishers in Cape Town and then becoming the Associate Publisher for 2 titles.
From there I started as the Sales Director of 3i Publishing and have subsequently moved into the role of Managing Editor to take a more hands on role in the day to day Management of 3i Publishing and the Africa Telecoms magazine which is a monthly Telecommunications and ICT focused publication.
Having been involved now in the Financial and Telecommunications industries my goal would be to remain involved in fast growing ever changing industries and roles. The more challenging the position and the future the more enticing it becomes. Also considering the old adage "That Failing to Plan, is Planning to Fail" And this is even more true in Dynamic and Changing Business Development areas.
