Ailsa Wingfield is Executive Director: Intelligence for Nielsen Global Markets. She helps companies capture today and tomorrow's prospects by identifying and exploring demand generating trends through strategic foresight, knowledge and thought leadership creation.
With a passion for Africa and Middle East, she established the Africa Prospects Indicator which determines overall country prospects and the sources of potential, across economic, business, consumer and retail metrics. Ailsa has extensive experience working with global and local brands in multiple countries across the consumer goods, media and telecommunications industry.
She has curated and contributed to numerous Nielsen global intelligence topics including; Future Forces, The Quest for Convenience, Connected Commerce, Changing Consumer Prosperity, DisLoyalty, Tech Transformed Consumption, Wising Up to Women and The Truth about the Youth.
Previously at Nielsen, Ailsa held numerous positions, previously as head of Africa Marketing and Communications, and as sub-Saharan Africa Telecommunications business lead, based in Kenya. She also headed up the South African Product Leadership portfolio. She began her career at Nielsen in client service where she provided strategic counsel to some of the largest consumer brands in South Africa.
Wingfield has also worked for Nokia and Allianz Insurance.
