Spreading festive cheer to the underprivileged

Spreading festive cheer to the underprivileged

Looking to bring some joy to underprivileged children, Primedia@Home raised funds to hire ten face painters and a magician and base them at the popular Super Jumbo Cash and Carry store in Crown Mines. They were briefed to paint the faces of the many underprivileged, disabled kiddies from Soweto, who patiently queued for the experience. In a separate initiative, the brand's Western Cape sales and operations department collected money to purchase goodies for the Helping Hands Aids Orphanage children in Wellington. Included in the delivery were DVD movies, gifts from Mr. Video. "When we can, [we love] to get involved with the community and spread some warmth - even ahead of the festive season," says Melvin Chagonda, Primedia@Home CEO."In times of dire need it is important to bring joy to children. [We believe] in giving back to the community and we were privileged to be able to do so."
