dmg events, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Daily Mail & General Trust, an international portfolio of digital, information, media and events businesses, has acquired Exhibition Management Services (EMS), an established Pan African exhibition organiser.
EMS adds five shows to its existing portfolio of dmg events: SAITEX, Africa's Big Seven (AB7), WAMPEX, INDUTEC and CIS.
The Johannesburg-based company will change its name to dmg EMS Africa, reporting to dmg events' Middle East, Asia and Africa division that operates some of the largest exhibitions in the region. These include The Big 5 series of construction events, INDEX - the interiors event in Dubai, and The Hotel Show - the Middle East's biggest Hotel and Hospitality event.
