On Sunday, 5 February 2012, City Press will launch its revamped business section under the editorship of Fikile-Ntsikelelo Moya. City Press offers revamped business section

The new section is anchored around four editorial pillars - news, thought leadership, opportunity and advice. It will carry national and international business and finance news, the political economy, black and emerging business and provincial economies. Copy will be produced by its own team of specialist writers and drawn from other leading financial sources.

"We aim for it to become the platform of choice for business leaders, policy and thought leaders who seek to influence society and their industries.

Hands-on role

"In every edition, we will carry interviews with, profiles of or opinions by the most senior members of the business and political-economy community," said Moya.

Serving its entrepreneurial reader base, it will also expand its opportunities section on procurement, employment and tendering. Playing a more hands-on role, it will dedicate resources to addressing the various challenges that job seekers-and potential employers encounter as well as serve as reference for achievers and inspiration for the aspirant. The final pillar of advice will feature various topics addressed to the professional, the entrepreneur and the aspirant.

"We see this section of the paper as being the platform to articulate and give form to the state's express intention of creating the number of jobs it has committed itself to. It will be a platform of robust but meaningful discussion," concluded Moya.
