Ideated by a desire to not only connect people but communities and a nation, Bayede Mobile was born from a strategic partnership forged between His Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini, the Founders of JR Capital, and a well-established Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE) with both local and international expertise.
The vision behind this new mobile network is to provide the people of South Africa with mobile access at affordable rates, enabling communities to easily connect. Bayede Mobile aims to empower a generation of people navigating the technological era, where connecting to friends, family and information can be accessed by all.
Powered by His Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini, and supported by the private sector and government, Bayede Mobile will help reach those with little to no access to basic mobile infrastructure at an excellent rate.
During his previous speech on earlier this year at the Battle of the Isandlwana, the King announced the imminent launch of Bayede Mobile and said, “I want to be part of a movement that helps provide an affordable solution for the poor and marginalised in their use of technology, allowing them the opportunity to connect and empower themselves”. The King further made a call for strategic partnerships with various faith-based organisations, tribal leaders and other institutions interested in the shared vision of empowering their communities.
Upon launch, Bayede Mobile will embark on a journey which will begin by focusing on connecting people, transitioning to connecting communities and finally, connecting a nation.

Initially, Bayede Mobile will be strategically positioned to leverage existing infrastructure of some of South Africa’s biggest mobile networks, thereby bringing reliable connectivity, at an affordable flat rate.
