Shifting your attitude on SABC1

A new live SABC Education talk show called Shift, carefully formulated to get viewers thinking and talking about shifting their mindsets and changing their attitudes, is scheduled to start on SABC1 Mondays to Fridays at 12h30 from 5 September 2005.

Jo Neethling, project manager at SABC Education, says: "Shift will be informative, inspiring, thought provoking and entertaining. Shift will find out what viewers think of daily topical issues and then encourage them to speak out, voice their opinions and do things for themselves."

Presented by Bongani Zindela, Cuma Mashicila and Rhulani Baloyi, Shift intends to influence attitudes and behaviour changes amongst unemployed, unmotivated and insecure audiences. It will provide a forum for discussion on a variety of subjects, including finance, self esteem, entrepreneurship, empowerment, health, success stories, parenting, gender, education, tourism, environment, technology, arts, culture and social issues.

"During the show, open call lines will allow viewers to quiz guests and be part of the show. The main thrust of Shift will always be self-empowerment. We want to hear what South Africans think, we want them to participate in Shift and we want that involvement throughout the show."
