'talk to me...' has won the Gold Plaque 2005 Hugo award at the Chicago International Film Festival, a Gold Award for excellence in modern communications at the World Media Festival and was a winner at the 64th Annual Peabody New York Awards which recognise distinguished achievement and meritorious service by radio and television organisations.
'talk to me...' a one hour special broadcast last year on SABC2 on World AIDS day features South Africa's five year old orphan living with Aids Takalani Sesame's Kami who championed a national campaign encouraging all South African adults to communicate with children about HIV and AIDS.
