Britz appointed as director at Sanitech

Britz will focus on water recycling and reuse opportunities as well as the promotion of smart water management within Sanitech.
He joins the company from Rand Water where he headed up the Experimental Facilities: Process Technology division, specialising in water treatment innovations. Prior to this, he fulfilled various management roles including serving as a production engineer at ArcelorMittal.
Scarce resource
"In South Africa water is a scarce resource and the quality of water continues to be a significant problem. Water utilisation and management is a vital part of Sanitech's business and we welcome Gerhard's vast expertise and experience in this field," says Robert Erasmus, managing director at Sanitech. "This appointment will further complement our strategic goal to reduce the environmental impact of waste water; ensuring ongoing sustainability."
Britz holds a N.Dip in Analytical Chemistry from the Vaal University of Technology and an MBA from North West University, and is also an associate member of the Water Institute of South Africa (WISA).
