Vote for the Kaya FM Sports team at the Gauteng Sports Awards
Kaya FM celebrates the Kaya Sports team that has received two nominations at the Gauteng Sports Awards. The finalists were announced by MEC for Gauteng Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Ms Faith Mazibuko, at Emoyeni, Johannesburg.
The Home Straight hosted by Mosibodi Whitehead, Sotho Meyer and Sandile van Heerden, is nominated for the Sport programme of the year category. The team has shown dedication and innovation in their efforts to create compelling multimedia sports content for Kaya FM as they present their show on air Monday 8pm- 9pm and Friday 7pm-8pm. Voting has opened for this category and we encourage all our listeners to vote for The Home Straight.
Mbali Mokoko is nominated for the Sports journalists of the year; Mbali has previously been nominated for the Sports Journalists of the year at the South African Sports awards in 2015. Mbali has been part of the Kaya sports team as a field journalist and is well respected amongst his peers in the field of sports journalism.
