The AdVantage AdMAG Awards have become a sought-after accolade for magazines in the consumer magazine industry in South Africa and recognise the editorial skill of the editors in steering their magazine brands to publishing success. The emphasis is on editorial strategy, content, innovation and excellence.
Last year AdVantage added a new category: the Innovative Digital Publishing Award to recognise the publisher which has successfully launched an online edition of their magazine. This award is again sponsored by Bizcommunity.com this year.
An additional African Language category has been added this year to encourage magazines published either entirely or partially in a language other than English, to enter. This includes Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa, etc.
