Ticket sales are open for The 31st Annual Loerie Awards, set to rock Cape Town from 24 to 27 September 2009.
Loeries Festival Weekend tickets on sale now

“The good news is that we've kept prices the same as in 2008, but the demand is higher than ever this year, so to make sure your ego doesn't take a knock you should get your hands on tickets as soon as possible,” says Andrew Human, MD of The Loerie Awards. “The Cape Town Awards Ceremony will be even more impressive this year, so all egomaniacs should be sure to make their way there.”

The gala events are now being held on the evenings of Friday the 25th and Saturday the 26th (a change from previous years), and it is possible to buy a ticket for either evening or a weekend pass for both nights.

All tickets allow access to all functions and after-parties, including the Battle of the Bands and the Chairman's Party on Thursday 24 September (a one-night ticket provides access to only the after-party for that evening).

Very Important Ego (VIE) tickets are also available, permitting access to all VIE areas throughout the weekend, during the awards ceremonies and at the after parties.

All tickets must be collected before the Festival Weekend, as registration will not be possible without a ticket. Ticket holders must register at The Grand Daddy Hotel to receive their access passes and goodie bags.

To secure your ticket to the ego boost of 2009, contact Computicket Corporate Sales on +27 (11) 340 8128 or +27 (11) 340 8475 or email . Tickets can also be booked via the public call centre on +27 (11) 340 8000 or 083 915 8000 or by visiting any Computicket outlet.

Accommodation can also be booked via Cape Town Tourism's special Loeries mini-site (www.capetown.travel/loeries/). This year Long Street and the surrounding areas will be transformed into the Loeries Village for the awards weekend from Thursday 24 to Sunday 27 September, and transport will be supplied from this point around the clock throughout the festival weekend. Note: It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the Good Hope Centre to The Grand Daddy Hotel; for safety it's probably best to either walk as a group, or take advantage of the shuttle between the two venues.
