South African event companies win international awards
At the Event Solutions Spotlight Awards, held mid-March 2013 in Las Vegas, two South African companies walked away with awards.

Vicky Crease Catering + Events won 'Event Supplier of the Year' and Gavin Rajah Concept (GRC) was awarded 'Event Producer of the Year'.
The annual awards presentation is dedicated to recognising the best and brightest event professionals in the industry. The submission process, which took place in three phases over the course of six to eight months, culminated in a panel of industry experts selecting the finalists from nominations received. The industry was then invited to view the finalist profiles online and vote to determine the winners.
International personality Colin Cowie, originally from Port Elizabeth, was also inducted to the 'Hall of Fame'.
"At times the resourcefulness and innovation that comes out of South Africa can be overlooked. My wish is that these awards will highlight and help raise the profile of the talent to be found in our local events industry," says Gavin Rajah.
