Some extra spice for international comedy festival

“Nando's advertising campaigns have always been synonymous with comedy in South Africa, so aligning with the comedy festivals was a natural progression for this quirky brand,” says Lauren Bright, sponsorship manager, Hunta Live. “Having them on board escalates comedy in South Africa to a completely new level.

Last year, Hunta Live brought the broadest selection of comedy styles and material ever seen by Johannesburg fans to the Jozi International Comedy Festival, resulting in an annual event, now sponsored by Nando's. 94.7 Highveld Stereo and M-Net will present the Jozi Comedy Festival.

“We are very excited to be part of the comedy festival this year and look forward to sharing loads of laughter with our consumers. It's quite natural for us to partner with Hunta Live with this funny venture because at Nando's we know that laughter is the best medicine,” says Sylvester Chauke, Nando's national marketing manager.

The festival will consist of an international stand up theatre show - the “UN Comedy Show,” a late-night stand up show “UNhinged” and a local stand-up competition “Comedy Showdown.” The shows carry age restrictions.
