The Nedbank Digital Edge Live: Just two weeks to go

It's two weeks to go until the Nedbank Digital Edge Live 2013 event and only 50 tickets are still up for grabs.
The Nedbank Digital Edge Live: Just two weeks to go

This year's dynamic line-up of speakers and topics has been confirmed and top international speakers, Harper Reed (the man behind US President Barack Obama's online campaign) and Martin Coady (Managing Director of Technology at VML) are ready to take the floor at the Vodadome in Midrand on 3 October.

The Nedbank Digital Edge Live, now in its fifth year, is a highly-regarded thought leadership event and a 'must attend' forum for marketing, advertising and communications professionals. As one of the most prominent banks in the financial services sector, Nedbank has actively moved into the digital marketing arena and, by coming on board as title partner, saw the opportunity to showcase its thought-leadership support.

The theme... ICE

The theme of this year's event ICE - Intuitive Customer Experiences - focuses on amplifying the global trend of showcasing how marketing and IT need to work in tandem to co-design intuitive customer experiences.

Being familiar with this global shift toward integration of marketing and IT, VML's Martin Coady, will be addressing the concept of ICE from a unique tech perspective. As MD of Technology at one of the biggest global digital agencies, Coady leads a team focused on analysing the key business and technical issues that drives the evolution of digital marketing as well as developing the company's long range technology strategy. He also provides executive oversight and technical strategy for a wide range of clients including Chevron, Gatorade, American Century Investments, Xerox, Edward Jones and others. Martin Coady is proudly brought to the Nedbank Digital Edge Live by Everlytic.

Locals come to the party

"We also have a dynamic line-up of local speakers made up of advertising and digital marketing heavyweights together with leading CMO's and CTO's," says Loki Magerman, Marketing Manager at NATIVE. The panel discussion will centre around three topics namely: How has online business forced the rethink of the relationship between marketing and technology departments; The increasing importance of ROI in advertising; and In the digital age do customers now define the brand. The speakers line-up also includes Sydney Mbhele (Divisional Executive: Nedbank); Fran Luckin (ECD Quirk); Jason Xenopoulos (CEO NATIVE); Alistair Fairweather (CTO Mail and Guardian) and Chris Gotz (ECD Ogilvy Cape Town), who will deliver fascinating and fast-paced talks and presentations. "We are aiming to create an 'un-conference' experience that will arm delegates with insights and tools to improve work performance. Don't miss out. Take a look at the speaker line-up and topics on www.thedigitaledge.co.za. We look forward to seeing you at the event," concludes Magerman.
