A leading entrepreneur in the South African game tourism industry, More was piloting the aircraft. He had a business meeting in Joburg scheduled for 10am. When he failed to arrive at Midrand's Grand Central airport, urgent calls established that the aircraft was missing.
According to Roger Mortlock, the pilot's flight instructor, the Robinson R44 helicopter departed from Casterbridge in White River at 6.30am, carrying three passengers. It crashed on the farm Sondagskraal outside Nelspruit at about 7am. There have been unconfirmed reports of heavy mist.
The wreckage was located at midday. It has been confirmed that Nicholas More, two other men and a woman died in the accident. No other More family members are said to be involved.
