Studio Republic crosses Rogue Rally finish line in style
After months of planning, production house Studio Republic has filmed, edited and broadcasted South Africa's first super-car rally. The inaugural Rogue Rally captured 53 super-cars on an epic 3,000km adventure, over seven days, across South Africa.
The Rogue Rally was not only a resounding success but was also methodically produced by the Studio Republic team. With a nine-member crew, three HD cameras, 15 GoPro cameras, five handy cams and a helicopter, the high-speed cars and scenic landscapes were shot from every angle. From a Rolls Royce, to Ferraris to McLarens, the event showcased the finest engines in the country as well as their distinguished owners. The many hours of footage was edited into a successful six-part TV series broadcasted on DStv in September and October. The Rogue Rally kept thousands of viewers' eyes glued to their screens.
"To be a part of this magnificent event, a first in SA, was truly inspiring. From the shoot to the edit, we savoured every moment," said Darren Kerr, executive producer at Studio Republic.
