New mobile company is on the MAPP

Kineto Mobile, a new local mobile commerce solutions provider, has appointed Cape Town-based IT Consultancy Jeshurun Consulting to power its airtime distribution business via both software and technical assistance.

The distribution trading platform will operate by means of Jeshurun's MAPP software module, one of a range of software modules developed by the consultancy, which claim to offer scope for added business opportunities that are available off the same distribution points to create multiple revenue streams. These software modules include Loyalty, Funds Transfer, Interactive SMS, and White Label Card / Banking Modules. With Banking Merchant Point of Sales, extra revenue opportunities are leveraged against the capital and monthly costs associated with banking terminals. The point of sales are available in counter top Ethernet models, as well as GPRS enabled models, which are in line with the mobile company's business mobility strategy.

Kineto Mobile aims to utilise the ‘m-commerce' technology shift into mainstream business and everyday life and will cater for both businesses and individuals looking to generate additional income through mobile means. A range of products, including Portable Satellite, Cell phone and Point of Sale (POS) business applications, will be available to equip businesses and individuals who require mobility and connectivity to operate in their respective environments and according to their specific needs.

The commercial launch of Kineto Mobile Pre-paid, which is focused on bringing Pre-paid & Virtual Top Up (VTU) functionality into the mobile market environment through the selling of pre-paid products via mobile phones, PDA's, Point of Sale (POS) devices, and internet-connected computer terminals, will take place in October. A primary focus for this particular product is the social upliftment of communities and under-developed areas. Businesses that have their footprint in the LSM 1 – 7 living areas, including public transportation, will be targeted, mainly to increase job opportunities through the on-selling of the mobile company's product range.

Jeshrun will also oversee Kineto Mobile's IT infrastructure, which includes e-mail and web hosting, as well as the maintenance of their network infrastructure, which includes Smoothwall Security Products.
