Social Media Week kicks off today

Social Media Week is a leading media platform and event with global reach across five continents, including Africa, North America, South America, Europe and Asia that explores the social, cultural and economic impact of social media. Twice a year (in February and September) the week long conference and festival is held in multiple cities across the globe simultaneously.

It aims to help people and organisations connect through collaboration, learning and the sharing of ideas and information and this year, given the ever-changing paradigms in our mediums of communications and interactions, the framework for SMW discussions is 'The Future of Now: Always On, Always Connected'. The event is free and open to the public.
