Inaugural FTV Carnival struts the Village Walk

The event features the Miss FTV Africa finalists, four live performances by Idols 2009, 5fm DJ Sasha Martinengo, Big Brother personality Margaret VD Westhuizen as MC and more. The first show will take place at 7pm and the second at 9pm. The venue extends from the Café into the entire parking area, which allows us to introduce what is ostensibly SA's longest outdoor fashion ramp to date.
The fashion shows are primarily a showcase of Carnival style swimwear and lingerie by the Miss FTV Africa Finalists. This event leads up to the Miss FTV Africa Grand Finale to be held at Emperors Palace on 18 April. In addition to being a unique opportunity for public and A-list celebrities to make their fashion statement as the dress code implies, the event promises to attract the participation of some of the most creative makeup artists, trend-setting hair stylists and a party not to be missed.
According to organiser Michelle Leibrandt, “The concept of this exciting Fashion Carnival is to create a relaxed environment for fashionistas to enjoy a top-of-the-line runway show filled with exciting live entertainment and have the opportunity to make their personal fashion statement.
“Fashion lovers will be in fashion heaven as they spend a stylish afternoon at Village Walk soaking up the latest in fashion and entertainment along with a carnival street party while sipping on premium brands.”
The event will be filmed for FTV International.
Tickets are available at FTV Village Walk @ R150 pp (tickets are limited).
