ASA code amendments 2006
The Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa (ASA) is inviting all interested parties to submit proposals for amending the Code of Advertising Practice for the year 2006. Well reasoned proposals must reach the ASA by no later than 28 February 2006.
The Code is reviewed annually to reflect societal developments in South Africa and to mirror evolving advertising practices worldwide.
Submissions from the marketing communications industry, consumer organizations and members of the public will be considered by the Code Review Committee, which will make recommendations for change to the industry. These recommendations will finally be approved at the ASA's Annual General Meeting.
The current Code can be viewed on the ASA's website www.asasa.org.za.
