R2K to picket at SABC offices in support of sexual harassment survivors
As part of its 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence efforts, the Right2Know Campaign (R2K) has expressed its support of the survivors of sexual harassment at the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC). To show its solidarity, it will picket outside the SABC offices in Auckland Park on 7 December 2018 from 10am to 12pm.
R2K has also called for an independent commission of inquiry to address the cases and a culture of sexual harassment at the SABC. It also wants the silencing of journalists on these issues to be stopped and for the SABC to provide a clear remedy for rape and sexual violence in the workplace.
