Sanef worries over Alfred Nevhutanda statement to SSA
The South African National Editors' Forum (Sanef) has expressed concern over Alfred Nevhutanda's - who is the chairperson of the board of the National Lotteries Commission (NLC) - statement that asked the State Security Agency (SSA) to investigate journalists.
Nevhutanda claimed that the source of media reports about his organisation came from his computer that had been hacked. He also claimed that journalists were being paid to write fake stories about the misspending by the NLC.
Sanef feels that the NLC lacks knowledge on how independent journalism operates.
