Midi Gold

Made by South Africans for South Africans, Midi Tea is a rich blend of hand-picked tea leaves and is available in three variants: Midi Gold Tagged Tea Bags, Midi Tagless Tea Bags and Midi Leaf Tea (loose tea).

Grown under the ideal climatic conditions for tea production, Midi premium blend quality tea uses carefully selected tea leaves, two leaves and a bud, to ensure the tea produced is of exceptional standard.

The tea is farmed, processed, blended and packaged on the farm, guaranteeing its freshness and is ostensibly the only tea in SA that can be consumed by locals as little as 72 hours after harvesting. This tea is grown in the Vhembe district and is not blended with any other tea's giving it a unique taste.

The South African black tea market is predominantly dominated by imported brands, which are packaged locally; but the introduction of an authentic South African home-grown product will give locals the opportunity to buy genuine South African brands, with no compromise to taste and quality.

Additionally supporting the brand will empower the local communities who live around the tea estate and are employed in the picking, production and packaging of Midi Tea as well as provide the impetus to produce more South African products.

The launch will be supported by a national above-the-line advertising campaign including a TV advert, as well as sampling.

Home grown Midi Tea is available through select supermarkets in pack sizes of 125g (50 tea bags) and 250g (100 tea bags) for the Midi Gold Tagged, Midi Tagless and Midi Loose Tea variants as well as 500g (200 tea bags) for Midi Tagless and Loose Tea.
