Local kids' clothing brand beats the downturn

Keedo, a local kids' clothing company based in Cape Town, is beating the recession odds by showing an inflation adjusted 20% year-on-year growth for its summer 2008 season.
Local kids' clothing brand beats the downturn

Keedo has come a long way since opening their first store in Tygervalley centre 15 years ago. Since then the brand has grown from a small one woman business to a global brand represented in 12 countries worldwide. In this time the brand stayed true to its core values of giving back to kids, nature and the community. A feather in its cap is the fact that all garments are still designed and made locally.

The growth Keedo experienced is as a result of incredible customer loyalty, quality products and well thought through and executed marketing strategies.

Says Nelia Schutte, founder of Keedo: “The growth we've experienced even in this difficult economic period is a true reflection of the brand loyalty we have - what a blessing!”
