Junior Farm Supervisor

Our client based in Potchefstroom is looking to employ a junior farm supervisor to join their team.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Mechanical experience is important. The candidate must know how to fix machinery on the farm
• Agricultural qualification will be beneficial but not a must
• Mechancial qualifications will be beneficial
• Bilingual - English and Afrikaans
• Driver's licence – EB/EC1 (Code 10 will be beneficial)
• Computer literate in Excel and Word
• Excellent people skills – must be able to motivate employees and be able to handle pressure
• Deadline driven
• Must be able to work under supervision as well as independently

Key responsibilities:

• Assisting the farm manager and agronomists with any and all duties
• Planting of trial seeds at various trail sites
• Assisting with the mechanical aspect of the planters and other machinery
• Assisting with the management of labour workers
