A dynamic and innovative company in Johannesburg is seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud engineer with a strong background in AWS and Docker to join their team. This is a permanent position offering a hybrid work model, providing flexibility and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS.
• Develop and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Manage and optimise Kubernetes clusters with EKS.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployment processes.
• Develop automation scripts and tools using Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to enhance system reliability, performance, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in cloud technologies and DevOps.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Cloud engineer, with a focus on AWS.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Docker.
• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters using EKS.
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
